Holidays in Soma Bay

Soma Bay, in being located just south of Hurgada, means a combination of superb beaches and extensive amenities, while still remaining close to Hurgada airport - making travel in to Abu Soma simple and easy.

There is also a major road from Hurgada leading across the desert to Luxor, where you can taste the delights of ancient Egypt - but do be aware this is not a quick excursion but a full day journey.

Of all the hotels in the region, the Intercontinental is the most famous and splendid, and there are a number of water sports usually on offer from here.

The real surprise is that many major tour operators stop at Hurgada, leaving smaller operators to look after your journey to Soma Bay.

However, as with all things Egypt, do remember that the sun burns, so stay well protected with sun cream.
